Late winter in Haw Creek is all structure: bare timber, brown pasture, the creek loud with runoff, every line in the landscape showing plain. Top Tier Truescapes thinks about a yard the same way, where lawn meets bed, where grass stops at the gravel, where an edge ought to fall. The work follows from there, mowing on a weekly turn, edging and trimming to keep those lines honest, beds mulched, cleanups when spring opens and again when fall closes it down. Missouri will grow over anything left alone for three weeks. So we do not leave it, and by June the place still reads the way it did in April, only greener.
