Leaf It To Us

About Leaf It To Us

By November in Harrison, the trees have spent their color and most of it is lying on somebody's lawn. Leaf It To Us earns its name in that stretch, raking and blowing leaves off the turf, pulling them out of beds and fence corners, and giving the grass one last trim before the cold takes hold. Left under a wet mat of leaves, a lawn can smother over winter; cleared, it can breathe. The rest of the growing season brings regular mowing and trimming, but autumn is when the pun pays off. Look out the window on a frosty morning and see green where the brown heap used to be.
