A Handyman & A Greenthumb

About A Handyman & A Greenthumb

Out in Hardin the sky does most of the talking. Ray County lies wide open here, bottomland and section roads, the Crooked River easing along the edge of it, grain bins standing up out of the fields like punctuation. A Handyman & A Greenthumb keeps yards squared away against all that openness with mowing, string trimming, edging along the walk, bed clearing, and tidying the odd corners a place collects over a summer. Wind crosses the fields with nothing to slow it, so the clippings go where we put them and the lines hold. There is real satisfaction in backing out of a drive and seeing one trim rectangle of green against a mile of soybeans.
