About Landscapes by Hunter

Not many yards out here lie flat; they step down toward the water in ledges of dolomite with cedar rooted into the cracks. Landscapes by Hunter builds into that, terracing beds across the fall of the land, choosing plantings that will take thin rocky soil, and setting stone and mulch to hold a slope, with mowing and trimming to keep the whole of it tidy through the season. August evenings on the Gravois Arm turn gold about an hour before sundown, and a planted hillside catching that light repays every bit of the effort. Design here has to answer to gravity and rock before it answers to taste. Ground that once looked like a problem ends up being the part everybody sits and looks at.
