About 1st City Lawn Reapers / Leavenworth & Lansing

Fog sits low in the hollows around Fox before the sun clears the ridge, and that is when the first mower of the day starts up. 1st City Lawn Reapers works the lawns of Jefferson County the way a harvest gets done — steady rows, nothing skipped, wet grass darkening the tires. Mowing, trimming and edging, and a clean blow-down of the walks and drive make up the whole of the job, and the whole of the job gets done. By mid-morning the fog has burned off and the yard is standing at attention, every line pulled straight. It is plain work in a county of oak ridges and river air, and the finish shows from the road.
