American Grasslands

About American Grasslands

The country around Hickory Grove still carries the memory of open prairie: long grass leaning all one direction whenever the wind crosses the section roads. American Grasslands works with that inheritance instead of against it, mowing and trimming yards that sit where tallgrass once ran unbroken to the horizon. The day starts early, before the heat stacks up over the fields, and the first pass of a mower leaves one clean line across the dew. Edges are cut sharp along the drive, clippings swept off the walk, and the yard reads as tended all the way from the mailbox. It is plain work under a wide sky, and there is quiet satisfaction in handing a place back looking better than it was found.
