The Cut 417

About The Cut 417

Fordland sits on the highway running east out of Springfield, and the 417 country around it is all ridge, hollow and fescue pasture. The Cut 417 keeps yards along that stretch on a steady round — mowing, string trimming, edging, then blowing the clippings off the concrete before the truck moves down the road. Late August the grass slows, September rain wakes it back up, and the schedule tightens all over again. A clean cut on a country lot has a way of making the whole place look looked-after, house and outbuildings and all. Lawn care in Fordland and the towns beside it.
