Fulhorst Lawns

About Fulhorst Lawns

East of town the ground gives out all at once at the limestone bluffs, and the Mississippi goes by below, wide and brown and in no hurry whatsoever. Fulhorst Lawns keeps yards on that high ground and back through the neighborhoods behind it, where the afternoon sun comes in long and sideways and shows every line in a lawn. That light is unforgiving — it finds the missed strip, the ragged corner, the post nobody trimmed around. So the passes run straight, the trimmer goes where the deck cannot, and the clippings come off the driveway before the truck pulls away. A yard ought to look finished at five o'clock, not merely cut.
