About Shelton's Tree Services

From Farmington, the old knobs of the St. Francois Mountains rise low and blue on the horizon, some of the oldest exposed rock in the middle of the continent. Shelton's Tree Services looks after the trees of this county seat — trimming dead and crossing limbs, removing trees that need to come down, and clearing the wood away afterward. The work picks up when autumn winds sweep across the Old Lead Belt and loosen whatever the summer heat weakened. Done right, a trim lets more light into a yard without stripping away the shade a Missouri July demands. It is a craft of rope, saw and judgment, and the result is a Farmington street that looks as calm as those distant hills.
