About Hastings Turf & Snow, LLC

West of Farmington the land stiffens into the granite knobs of the St. Francois Mountains, some of the oldest rock in the country, and turf that grows over it has to be tough to match. Hastings Turf & Snow, LLC mows across that ground — high yards that dry fast, low yards that stay soft a day longer after rain, each one learned pass by pass. Trimming follows the mowing, close along foundations, mailbox posts and the odd outcrop nobody could ever dig out. Late in October, when frost silvers a lawn at sunrise and the mower leaves a dark track through it, the last cuts of the year go down short and clean. The turf heads into winter looking deliberate, which is exactly how it should look.
