About Heath & Son Landscaping Inc.

By midmorning the clouds over Cullen start to break, and pale sun finds the gravel roads that drop off the ridges into the bottomland below. Heath & Son Landscaping works those grades in the wake of a storm, plowing driveways where the grade is steep enough to ice over twice before noon. The blade rides low along the crown of the road, pushing snow into the ditch so the gravel underneath stays true. Down in the creek bottoms, where the cold pools and lingers longest, they salt the low spots by hand so the morning school-bus run has somewhere solid to grip. It is careful work on a landscape that tilts every which way, and the reward is a stretch of open road where there was none an hour before. Heath & Son Landscaping takes on Cullen's ridges and bottoms alike, whichever the storm hits hardest.
