From the southwest ridge above Scott Boulevard the bottomland runs out toward McBaine, where an old burr oak stands alone in a field larger than most Columbia neighborhoods. Mill Creek Landscaping works the yards up on that ridge and back into town, shaping beds, laying mulch, setting plantings, and cutting the line where lawn meets border. Mowing, trimming and edging carry through the growing season on a regular rotation. Cleanups open the beds in spring; fall brings leaf removal and the last cut before the ground hardens. Landscape work is slow to show and then shows all at once, usually on the first warm evening of the year.
