Perche Creek winds through the flat west of Columbia toward the river and Eagle Bluffs, and the properties out there are measured in acres rather than lots. McVey Mowing handles that scale: wide ground cut in long passes, fence lines trimmed, field edges and brush held back where the timber wants to advance. Town yards get the same treatment at a smaller size — mowing, string trimming, edging, and a drive left clear. Spring and fall cleanups take care of the sycamore leaves that come down along the creek bottoms in sheets. Under that much sky, a big lawn cut in even rows is visible from the road a quarter mile off.
