About Mac's Lawn Service

West of Columbia the land rolls down toward Twin Lakes and Chapel Hill, and in April the whole slope turns from brown to green in about ten days. Mac's Lawn Service opens the routes right then — first cut of the year, beds cleaned out, winter's litter raked up and carried off. After that it is weekly: mow, trim around every post and tree, edge the walk and the drive, clear the concrete. Mulch goes down in spring, shrubs get shaped, and leaves are collected through the fall until the season finally lets go. Straight lines, clear walks, and nothing left behind but the smell of it.
