About Columbia Landcare

Long before the sun clears the bluffs above Rock Bridge, Columbia Landcare's plow trucks are already working the loop roads on the west side of town, throwing orange light across driveways still dark with ice. Columbia mornings in January carry a heavier cold than the rest of the year, a cold that sinks into the limestone country south of town and doesn't lift until well past nine, and clearing a path through it before the day starts is its own reward. Driveways get scraped to the concrete, walkways get salted edge to edge, and by the time porch lights start clicking off across the neighborhoods near Stephens Lake, the work is already finished. There's something satisfying about a driveway cut clean against a field of white, tire tracks the only mark on an otherwise untouched yard. Columbia Landcare handles that first pass of the day for homes and businesses across town, working the hours before anyone else is awake to see it.
