About Wizard Lawn & Landscaping

A July evening in Clinton is a specific thing: heat still lifting off the driveway, fireflies up out of the grass around nine, and every lawn on the block quietly deciding whether it will make it to August. Wizard Lawn & Landscaping works that stretch of the calendar hardest — mowing and trimming on a tight rotation, edging the walks, keeping beds mulched and shaped so they hold moisture through the hot weeks. Cutting a little higher in midsummer is half the secret, since the grass then shades its own roots and stays green while the yard next door goes straw-colored. Landscaping here is mostly about giving plants a fair chance against a Missouri August. When the evening finally cools over a lawn cut that same day, there is not much better going.
