About Skaggs Enterprises

Out past the last streetlight in Clinton the pavement gives way to gravel and the properties get long — a house, a shop, a windbreak of cedars, and an acre or two of grass that still has to be kept. Skaggs Enterprises works those places alongside the in-town yards, mowing, trimming and edging on ground that takes a while to cross. Come October the north wind runs down open and cold across the stubble fields, and the season thins out from mowing into cleanup. Big lawns reward patience more than speed; the line you set on the first pass is the one you live with for the next hour. Done right, an acre of grass can look as deliberate as any courtyard.
