Debbie's Lawn Busters

About Debbie's Lawn Busters

Out in Cass County, Cleveland lies beneath the kind of wide western Missouri sky that makes every yard feel like part of the horizon. Debbie's Lawn Busters takes on the thick May growth that comes up under that sky, the kind that can outrun a busy household in a single week. There is something joyful in both the name and the work: tall grass knocked down, the edges brought back, the whole property suddenly back in view. By late afternoon the light runs long and golden across the fields, and a freshly mown lawn in Cleveland catches it just right.
