Jake's Lawn Service

About Jake's Lawn Service

The old rail grade runs level along the bottoms here, and on a summer evening there are still bicycles rolling on it when the light goes long and low across the river fields. That is about the hour the last yard of the day gets finished. Jake's Lawn Service keeps lawns on a regular rotation around Charrette, with trimming along fences and foundations, the edge recut where the yard meets the front walk, and the pavement swept before the trailer ramp goes back up. Cleanups take care of the leaves in autumn and the winter's leavings in spring. One truck, a full route, and a row of properties that look looked-after all the way down the road.
