About Riggs Lawn and Landscape

Stand on the levee at Caruthersville in the evening and the Mississippi goes copper, while behind you the Bootheel runs flat and green all the way to the horizon. Riggs Lawn and Landscape works that soft delta ground — mowing, trimming, edging and clearing up after, on town lots and on the long yards out where the cotton and bean fields begin. Pemiscot County heat is a wet heat, and the grass answers it by growing like it means something, which makes a dependable weekly rhythm the whole of the job. Doing it well shows in small things: a straight line held across a wide open yard, a walk swept, a drive edged clean. That is the kind of tidy a place can keep all summer long.
