The Lawn Provider

About The Lawn Provider

Late in the afternoon the sky west of Carl Junction stacks itself into thunderheads, and anybody with a mower learns to read that hour. The Lawn Provider works the neighborhoods off Highway 171 and the deeper lots out where town thins into pasture — cutting, string trimming, edging, and blowing the walks clean before the first fat drops land. Grass in this corner of Jasper County grows fast on storm water, so a single week can change a yard entirely. The pleasure of it is finishing ahead of the rain and standing back at a lawn striped even from fence to curb. Come autumn the same rounds turn to leaves and the tidy close of the year, and the yards go into the cold looking looked-after.
