SEMO STRIPES + LANDSCAPING

About SEMO STRIPES + LANDSCAPING

A good stripe is only light, bent. SEMO STRIPES + LANDSCAPING mows the lawns of Cape Girardeau so the late-day sun catches every pass — pale, dark, pale — the way grass lies down and stands back up across the flat green blocks near campus and the older streets running off Broadway. Edges come out clean along the walk, the trim work goes tight around the maples and the mailbox posts, and the clippings are off the drive before anyone gets home. Cape summers arrive warm and thick, and a yard here will run away from you inside a week, so the route keeps its rhythm. By evening, when the light goes long over Capaha Park, the lawn reads like something combed.
