Canton Pro Lawn Care

About Canton Pro Lawn Care

Canton keeps one shoulder against the Mississippi, and the town's lawns step down toward it in shaded ledges and long river-facing grades. Canton Pro Lawn Care mows that ground week by week, holding a straight line where the yard tilts and trimming close around the old trees, walls and porch steps that come with a river town. Come October, when the hardwoods above the college hill give up all at once and a line of barges eases toward Lock and Dam 20, the work turns to leaves — raked out of the beds, blown off the walks, carried away. There is real satisfaction in a sidewalk edge cut crisp enough to hold a shadow, and in a yard that looks tended from the street and from the bluff both. Fog off the water in the morning, low sun through bare limbs in the afternoon, and the grass kept ready for either.
