About JKR Landworks LLC

Dark comes early to Burr Oak in January, the last light usually gone from the pasture before evening chores are even finished, and that's often when the temperature really starts to drop. JKR Landworks LLC works the driveways and lanes crossing cattle guards and open pastureland out here, clearing a path before the afternoon melt has a chance to refreeze into something worse than the original snow. An iced-over cattle guard is its own particular hazard, and a lane graded flat back in the fall can hide a rut under six inches of snow that a truck won't find until it's already stuck in it. Getting the plowing done before the cold snap fully sets in gets a family home from the sale barn or the school in Houston without white-knuckling the last mile. Headlights catch a clean gravel lane instead of an unbroken sheet of white, the cattle guard rattling under the tires the way it's supposed to.
