About Big Oak Landworks LLC

Dawn comes up slow over the ridges around Burr Oak, the timber line holding the dark a little longer than the open pasture below it. Big Oak Landworks LLC is usually already moving by then, blade down, working the long gravel lanes that climb those ridges toward a house or a barn set back in the trees. Ground out here rolls hard enough that snow drifts unevenly — piled deep in one low swale, blown nearly bare across the next rise — so clearing it means reading the land as much as pushing through it. A lane opened before full daylight lets a rural mail route run on schedule and a stock trailer reach the barn without getting stuck halfway up. Sunlight finally clears the ridge and lights the frost on the pasture grass right about the time the morning's work is already parked back at the shop.
