About Silver Fox Tree Services

The prairie that gave Buck Prairie its name is really a long clearing in the timber, ringed by oak and hickory that the deer favor at dusk. Silver Fox Tree Services knows those same trees all year, so in winter the attention shifts to watching which limbs are bowed low under a wet snow load before one lets go over a driveway or a roofline. The drive gets plowed out to the county road first, then the crew works back through the yard, dropping any branch carrying more ice than it can hold. Snow falls quieter here than the wind that usually crosses the open prairie ground, and on a still morning after a storm the clearing looks briefly untouched, right up until the first plow line cuts across it. A lane opened and a yard checked for bent-over limbs before the next front arrives is groundskeeping the same as any other month, just done in January instead of June.
