About Cooks Lawn Care Service
Saturday morning around Brooking has a sound of its own, mowers starting one after another down a subdivision street. Cooks Lawn Care Service is out ahead of most of them, working a route of mowing, trimming and edging so somebody else's weekend stays free. Missouri lawns take the summer hard, and the difference between neglected and kept is mostly a matter of arriving on schedule. Hard surfaces get cleaned off before the trailer gate goes up. It's a small handoff, one yard at a time, and it makes a whole neighborhood look settled.
