About allseasonsmo

The steeple at Immaculate Conception is the first thing to catch morning light over Bloomsdale, standing up out of the fog that gathers along the Saline Creek bottoms most winter mornings. This crew handles the farm lanes and church-lot driveways of that German-settled ground, where a plowed path often has to reach past the house to the barn before the day's chores can start. Ice sits stubborn in these low fields longer than it does on the hills toward Ste. Genevieve, so the work here runs on patience more than speed. There's a steadiness to clearing the same lanes storm after storm, watching the same steeple come back into focus once the fog lifts.
