Flat Rock Landscapes

About Flat Rock Landscapes

Some yards sit right over rock, flat shelves of it a few inches beneath the topsoil and ledges a mower learns by heart. Flat Rock Landscapes cuts around all of it, raising the deck through the worst of a July afternoon so the grass keeps a little shade over its own roots, and trimming close where blades cannot go. In that heat the work moves from oak shade back into the open and along again, one yard at a time around Birch Tree, until a whole street reads even. Summers are long and bright and hard on turf, and the answer is a steady hand rather than a heroic one. A lawn that looks right in August is mostly a lawn that was not cut too short in July.
