JR's Lawn Care

About JR's Lawn Care

Late in a Big Prairie summer you can watch a storm build for an hour before it ever reaches you, a white tower out west taking its time. JR's Lawn Care reads that sky the way everyone here does, and gets the mowing in while the ground is still dry. The cut stays even across the open yard, the trimmer works the fence line and the foundation, and the drive is blown clear before the first fat drops land. Afterward the grass comes back greener than it had any right to, and the edge along the walk still holds its line. It is ordinary work done on the prairie's schedule, and it makes a place look cared for from the road.
