Josh's Grass Cutting

About Josh's Grass Cutting

There is one Saturday every April when the yards around Beauvais wake up all at once and the whole town needs cutting on the same weekend. Josh's Grass Cutting is ready for it, rolling out while the dew still lies heavy and the mower leaves a dark wet track behind it. The first cut of the year has a smell no later cut has, green and sharp and full of promise. After that it turns into a rhythm: mow, trim, edge, blow off the walk, come back the next week and do it again while the season runs. Steady hands on a small job are what keep a place looking like home.
