The Lawn Father

About The Lawn Father

Come evening in Beauvais the porch lights blink on, the heat eases, and the yards fill with kids and dogs and folding chairs. The Lawn Father cuts grass with that in mind, because a lawn is where a family spends its summer and ought to be soft, even and free of the stray tufts a hurried job leaves behind. Mowing, trimming, edging and a clean blow-off of the walks and drive make up the week's round. Grass here pushes hard through the humid months and slows as the cool weather comes on, and the schedule follows it. A yard someone can cross barefoot is the whole point of the work.
