Lazy J Services

About Lazy J Services

Out past Appleton City the prairie runs long toward Truman Lake, and the horizon is mostly sky with a treeline drawn thin along the bottom of it. Lazy J Services works the yards and the open ground in between — mowing, trimming, edging drives and walks, sweeping the clippings off so the concrete stays clear. A brand like Lazy J belongs to country like this, where the work starts early and stretches to whatever the daylight allows. August afternoons arrive with heat and grasshoppers and the smell of cut grass carrying farther on the wind than you'd expect. By dusk the yards along the road are level and even, and the lake country goes quiet.
