About Commercial Grounds Keeping inc.

Along Oxford Street and out toward the interstate, Worthington does its business — and Commercial Grounds Keeping inc. keeps the ground under it presentable. The company handles lawn care and snow removal for the town's working properties: lots mowed and trimmed through the summer, entrances and parking areas plowed before opening time in winter. Southwest Minnesota snow arrives with wind behind it, so clearing a lot here is less shoveling than sculpture, done fast and done again as the drifts rebuild. In July the job flips to turf, green strips squared off against the pavement. Either season, the point is the same: a place of business that looks open, ready, and swept for the day.
