Rivers Landscape

About Rivers Landscape

Some Woodbury snows drift down gently over the tamaracks; others ride in sideways on a northwest gale and bury the town by morning. Rivers Landscape works the second kind. This is a snow removal outfit for the nights when the wind erases a driveway twice before dawn — clearing, widening, cutting the banks back so a car can actually see the street. Near the Tamarack Nature Preserve the drifts sculpt themselves into dunes, and pushing them back is honest, physical, satisfying work. When the storm finally moves off toward Wisconsin and the sky goes that hard winter blue, the bare pavement is the proof it happened.
