Turf Maintenance

About Turf Maintenance

Homer township lies along the Mississippi below Winona, a narrow shelf of ground between Highway 61 and the bluffs, with the coulees climbing away behind the houses. Lawns here are cut on the flat by the river and on the slopes that run up toward the ridge, and both take a careful hand. Turf Maintenance mows, trims, and edges those yards through the humid valley summer, then cleans them up in spring and again when the bluff turns rust and gold. Down here a barge sliding past is the loudest thing all afternoon. A neatly cut lawn with the river moving beyond it is a fine thing to leave behind.
