Cutting Edge

About Cutting Edge

Sugar Loaf catches the first sun in Winona, and Cutting Edge tries to be working by the time it does. Summer means mowing and trimming with an eye for the clean line — the place where lawn meets sidewalk, sharp as a drawn rule. Winter flips the same instinct to snow: driveways cut open to the pavement, walks shoveled square, the storm pushed back to the curb where it belongs. Two seasons, one standard. In a river town that lives outdoors as much as it can, an edge done right is its own small architecture.
