About Lakeland Lawn Service LLC

Winter reaches Wadena on a west wind that has crossed a hundred miles with nothing to slow it, and by four in the morning the drift across a driveway mouth has packed itself as hard as curbing. Lakeland Lawn Service LLC is out in those hours with plow and shovel and salt, so the pavement is black and the steps are safe before the first headlights turn onto Highway 10. There is a particular satisfaction in a drive cleared while the town still sleeps: nobody watches the work, everybody gets the day. When the ditches finally run and the frost lets go, the blades come off and the mowers go on for the long green half of the year, with weekly cutting, trimming, and hauling away what spring shakes loose. Two seasons, one set of hands, the same town either way.
