About Surf & Turf

Lake Waconia lies wide open to the west, and the township around it is orchards, cropland and farmsteads catching every bit of weather that crosses Carver County. Surf & Turf works both sides of the calendar, mowing, trimming and edging while the apple rows are leafing out, then plowing, shoveling and treating ice once the lake locks up and the wind runs unbroken across it. Long farm drives are the winter test: open early, open wide, come back if it blows back in. Cleanups in spring and again in fall keep the ground clear between the two. Come August the reward is a mowed yard against a green field, lines still visible at dusk.
