About Wabasha Tree Company

February in Wabasha is bright and hard: the channel stays open, the eagles work it from the cottonwoods, and every bluff shadow keeps its ice all day. Wabasha Tree Company clears the way through that stretch of the year, plowing driveways, lots and entries and shoveling out walks, steps and the ground around mailboxes. North-facing slopes in this town hold a skim of ice long after the sun has taken the rest, so sand and salt matter as much as the blade does. Snow that comes in off the river runs heavy, and it stacks against anything that stands still. The reward is small and daily — a drive opened while it is still dark, and one less thing standing between somebody and their morning.
