Lupe's Lawn Care

About Lupe's Lawn Care

Summer afternoons around Thorpe come with their own soundtrack: wind combing through tall pines, a loon calling somewhere out on the water, a screen door slapping shut. Lupe's Lawn Care works through those long, bright hours, mowing yards carved out of the woods and trimming close where the grass gives way to needles and fern. Up here a lawn is a clearing kept on purpose, and keeping it means holding the edge against a forest that would happily take it back. When the work wraps up the grass lies even, the walk is swept, and the pine shade falls across something that looks like home. It is good, grounded work in a place built around the outdoors.
