Wild River Tree Service

About Wild River Tree Service

In deep January the Crow Wing River country goes still: the river slips along beneath its ice, the oaks on the banks hold their snow, and the cold sits hard on Thomastown before sunrise. Wild River Tree Service, a tree service by trade, takes on snow removal when those mornings leave drifts across driveways and farmyards. The work starts in the dark so the way out is open before anyone needs it, with the drive pushed wide, the turnaround cleared and a path dug to the door. Shutting off the engine and seeing a clean dark strip where the drift used to be is its own small reward. Then it is on to the next drive, while the sky over the river goes from black to pink.
