On a summer evening in McLeod County you can watch a thunderhead build over the fields west of town for a full hour before it ever reaches you. Premier Lawn and Landscape works the daylight it has, moving through Lester Prairie and out along the section roads toward Winsted and Silver Lake. A lawn out here has to hold up to sun and wind both, so the cut stays even and the clippings go back down to feed the ground. Trimming handles the fence line and the flag pole; edging draws the drive back to a straight line where turf has crept over it. The season is bracketed by cleanups, one to wake a lawn up in April and one to clear it before the ground freezes.
