Max's Lawn Service

About Max's Lawn Service

Midday in July, Memorial Park's old oaks throw pools of shade over the picnic grounds, and the rest of Shakopee bakes. Max's Lawn Service works straight through it. Lawns get mowed on their schedule, not the weather's — trimmed around fences and mailboxes, edged where grass meets walk. When the heat finally breaks for good and the first storms stack up in December, the mowers give way to plows, and the same yards get their driveways dug out and their sidewalks shoveled. Summer or winter, the satisfaction is identical: standing at the curb for a moment, looking at a job that is plainly, visibly done.
