Marathon Lawn

About Marathon Lawn

The mowing season in Minnesota is a long-distance event — twenty-some weeks from the last frost to the first, no skipping miles. Marathon Lawn is built for exactly that race. The routes through Savage run steady, the same yards met at the same stride, rain delays made up and heat waves managed, so lawns never get the shaggy week that undoes a summer's look. There is a quiet pleasure in that consistency: grass thickens under a regular cut the way a runner strengthens under regular training. By the time the leaves turn and the frost comes back, the finish line is a season of yards that never once fell behind.
