About Oak Ridge Lawn Co.

North of Saint Peter, past the old treaty ground at Traverse des Sioux, the bluffs carry a band of oak that hangs onto its leaves long after the maples have let go. Autumn is the busiest stretch of the year for Oak Ridge Lawn Co. — final mowings, leaf and yard cleanups, everything cut down tight before the first hard freeze. Then the calendar flips and the same trucks go out with plows for driveways, lots and entryways across town. Snow buries a lawn but it never hides careless work; by April the edges either held or they did not. Doing it right the first time is the whole job.
