About White Bear Township Yard Waste Site

Every yard in the northeast metro produces a season's worth of what it grows — grass by the bagful in June, oak and maple leaves by the truckload in late October. The White Bear Township Yard Waste Site is where those loads land, a working ground for clippings, leaves and brush from the neighborhoods around White Bear and Saint Paul. Cars back in with tarps rolled off, trailers tip, and what came off a lawn goes onto a pile that steams a little on a cold morning. It is unglamorous and completely necessary — the last step of yard work, the one that makes a raked yard stay raked. Residents from White Bear Township, Vadnais Heights and the north side of Saint Paul come through all season.
