About SAM’S LAWN CARE SERVICE LLC

August is the test of a Saint Paul lawn — the month when heat leans on the grass and only the cared-for yards stay deep green. SAM'S LAWN CARE SERVICE LLC does its proudest work then, along the shady blocks off Marshall Avenue and through Desnoyer Park, where evening light comes low through the boulevard trees and lands on turf they cut that morning. Their season is a long conversation with growth: mow, trim, edge, repeat, adjusting to rain and drought as the summer argues with itself. They believe a lawn should look good at the hour people actually see it — dinnertime, dusk, the walk to the porch. On their route, it does, all the way to the first frost.
