Four Seasons Yard Work

About Four Seasons Yard Work

Around Lake Phalen the year turns in plain sight — ice fishermen in February, the first walkers circling the lake in a muddy March, and then, suddenly, everything green and growing at once. Four Seasons Yard Work follows that whole arc on the East Side: spring cleanups when the snow finally gives up what it buried, mowing through the summer, raking and cutting back when the maples along the parkway let go. The name is the method — a yard isn't a summer project here, it's a calendar. There is a deep satisfaction in handing a lawn from one season to the next in good order, beds cleared, grass cut, everything ready for whatever Minnesota sends next. It's patient work for a patient part of St. Paul.
