Lawn Country

About Lawn Country

The church steeple stands over St. Michael the way a landmark should — visible from the county roads long before the town itself is. Under it, Lawn Country keeps the older blocks tidy: weekly mowing, trimming along fences and foundations, edging where turf wants to creep over the concrete. Summer here is short and generous, and grass takes full advantage of it, so the calendar stays tight from May into October. Spring and fall cleanups handle the thaw's leftovers and the leaves that follow. A quiet street of well-kept yards is its own kind of order, and that is the whole ambition.
